Replacement Screens and Accessories

Midwestern Industries services all your screening needs by manufacturing premium quality replacement parts and accessories to fit most round vibratory separators. This includes weld-mounted screens and food-grade epoxy-mount sanitary screens in diameters from 18” to 72”. Anti-blinding equipment such as ball try kits, plastic slider kits, and ultrasonic devices are also available.

Separator Feeder

The separator feeder is an economical means of improving operating efficiency and production in both liquid/solid and dry screening applications. The feeder can generate additional savings by extending the life of the screen mesh itself. Midwestern’s separator feeder fits all round separators including Midwestern separators and other brands.

The separator feeder installs directly above the center of the screen. Its built-in deflector plate reduces the velocity of incoming material and allows the material to flow evenly across the screen. There is less turbulence and direct impact on the screen-less wear-and-tear can improve screen life.

Liquid/solid screening applications include removing lint and sand from laundry water and clay slurry. With Midwestern’s feeder, dry screening of coarse materials such as sand, shot and grit helps to reduce premature wear in the center of the screen. Available in either carbon steel or stainless steel, the separator feeder has standard feed inlets of Schedule 40 pipe with diameters from one to eight inches. Feed pipes are supplied with standard pipe threads. Optional 150# pipe flanges or victaulic fittings are available upon request.

Automatic Lubrication System

The automatic lubrication system for round, vibratory separators reduce maintenance time and expense.

The lubrication system can be factory-installed on all new Midwestern ME and MR Series Gyra-Vib separators or retrofit by customers on existing Midwestern separators (except the MR Series 24” model which has sealed bearings). The lubrication system can also be installed on other makes and models of separators.

The automatic lubricator either can be wired through the separator motor or connected to an external 115-volt power source. Grease is dispensed from a zerk-fed, refillable reservoir at cycle times that are pre-set in the lubricator’s built-in, programmable timer. The system ensures the correct amount of grease is supplied at the appropriate time according to the bearing manufacturer’s specifications.

Ball Tray System

The ball tray assembly will reduce blinding caused by damp material and near-size plugging of the sizing screen mesh. Also, the secondary vibration caused by the bouncing balls against the sizing mesh helps stratify the material for greater throughput. The standard 2” ball tray (as illustrated) or optional internal ball tray systems are available. The ball tray assembly can be installed on most makes of separators now in service.

Kleener Tray System

The Kleener tray clamps securely in place and does not interfere with screen changing. Its unique “Z” ring mounting provides unparalleled rigidity. The system can be used with or without a distribution pan and existing equipment can be easily converted to accept this system. The clip-in style operates more quietly than the perforated plate style.

RAS System

Available in a low-profile, single or double-deck design, the RAS system is an easily accessible screen with the choice of two clamping methods and can feature an independently mounted Kleener tray or ball tray. Adaptable to existing gyratory screening equipment it produces considerably higher production with some applications. Manufactured in carbon or stainless steel the RAS system is excellent for slurries or a huge percentage of oversize.
