New Technology

Midwestern Industries has the techonology and the equipment to provide superior quality and customer satisfaction.

CNC Lathe and Toolroom Mill

Midwestern Industries updated its lathes with a new computer numeric controlled (CNC) lathe.

This machine is designed to turn a solid piece of steel at 2,400 rpm while carbide tooling machines away metal. By creating parts with this technology our company is able to manufacture stronger and more exacting parts.

Accompanying the CNC lathe in production is the Toolroom Mill. Designed with precision control its accuracy is up to .0005 of an inch. The mill can tap, chamfer, or drill an unfinished part into perfection.

Laser Cutting Technology

The Laser System incorporates the latest in linear motor drive, motion control systems, electronics, beam delivery, fiber optics communications and software technology to greatly enhance machine productivity, performance and accuracy. In our constant effort to provide superior screening products, Midwestern Industries searches out the latest innovations in quality advancement. As an international supplier of screens, panels, machinery and replacement parts, Midwestern Industries has made a commitment, for over 50 years, to provide customers with reliable and dependable equipment. The Laser System incorporates the latest in linear motor drive, motion control systems, electronics, beam delivery, fiber optics communications and software technology to greatly enhance machine productivity, performance and accuracy.

Nearly every product Midwestern Industries manufactures benefits from the accuracy and repeatability of this laser system. It has the ability to cut 28 gauge steel 650 inches per minute and 7/8”steel 30 inches per minute while maintaining its accuracy to .001 of an inch. We celebrate our technological advancements, product developments, and innovations for product quality. We are proud of our progress and look forward to the future.

Wire EDM and
Engineering Programs

Located in a climate controlled room, the Wire EDM machine electrically cuts out crimping dies used to weave wire cloth screen panels. With this new technology Midwestern Industries is able to improve panel quality and incorporate new wire designs for customers with unique screening applications.

The Midwestern Industries engineering department is trained and certified for:

• AutoCAD
• SolidWorks
